Last weekend 2 teams from Liebaert took part in the business triathlon of Deinze, a sprint triathlon in the heart of Liebaert’s home city. Each team, consisting of three athletes, had to finish 750 M of swimming, 20 KM of cycling and 5 KM of running in the fastest time possible. During this physical endeavour our athletes were powered by our Nanostitch fabrics.
We figured that the best way to test out our products was to wear them ourselves and see how they performed throughout different disciplines. That’s why we decided to compete in the local business triathlon of our home city Deinze. With 750 M of swimming, 20 KM of cycling and 5 KM of running it promised to be an interesting challenge.
Each of our Liebaert athletes received a custom made garment made out of our Nanostitch fabrics to help them during their physical endeavour. Both our swimmers had a specially developed swim-suit with a water repellent finish to reduce the drag during swimming. Our cyclists and runners had a breathable and super lightweight shirt to keep them nice and cool during their performance.
The garments did what they had to and helped our athletes perform at their best. Liebaert team 1 consisting of Mathieu Liebaert (swim), Johan Clauwaert (bicycle) and Steven Regelbrugge (run) came in 2nd place with a time of 01:12:13. Liebaert team 2 consisting of Camille Liebaert (swim), Antoine Dhaene (bicycle) and Gregory Loontjens (run) finished 5th with a time of 01:25:51.
Congratulations to both teams!
